Yes there are exceptions (many exceptions), but as a gross generalisation – for reasons that may have to do with genetics, or socialisation (and I am not particularly interested because the ‘genetics’ argument is a red herring) – women are better at turn-taking, and listening and so on. Of course, we could ALL be better at this, and just bother to learn some basic group dynamics, and have decent facilitation protocols that we crowd-enforced etc. But noooo, gotta let the egos chest-beat, and do their ego-foddering, and spread their avuncularitis…
