The blogger at Charred Caesia useful concerns about the activities of the Australian astro-turf outfit “Get Up”, (and should take the slightly-predictable “yeah, whatevs” from commenter Kylie as a compliment).

on which there were useful comments –

“but I was also left with the impression that the organisers had their own agendas rather than being purely “for the environment” and so, as with many well-intentioned social movements, I began to wonder if the event was for the environment or for these particular people to be the centre of attention…”
