What would you say are the most important lessons in effective time management?
One of the things that I say in the book is, yes, a to-do list is important, but so is an ignore list. You have to make very explicit decisions about what you are not going to do. All of us have the experience of creating a really great plan, starting off the day well and then finding out that by the end of the day we haven’t got any of it done because someone called, somebody e-mailed, we watched too many YouTube videos.
