re “subjects that go against the group”:

significant emotional costs

ADHD relative lack of emotional intelligence is therefore an advantage re capacity to express independent thinking

we are unable to easily/accurately appreciate or perceive the group’s unstated consensus view, in the first place, due to our relative dysfunction

so we don’t even get that we’re out of step when we observe something that amounts to saying the Emperor is not wearing clothes or whatever

explains some of my organizational life
